Beat the clock - senseless

I could never be thought of as a speed-a-holic, probably quite opposite I guess. I am an in between a speedster and a turtle. i drove 110km to work a couple of days last week. It was bizarre. Even more insane was that I did not look at any clocks from the moment I left the house. I have never done that. I always know the time. I am starting to realize the beauty in selective time awareness.

I love thinking it is a certain time and I am off by like 10 minutes. I would have thought that was unnacceptable, now I am dealing. I think that is progress.

Thanks to Carl Honoré, I can feel at peace with some of the things that I do everyday with a real understanding of why I feel like I cannot beat the day - that time is never long enough. Thank you
